What we do with your data.

Who we are

Cusina Ko Ltd (registered in England & Wales, company no. 17023759), 12 Willesden Lane, London NW6 7SR, is the data controller for this site. Anything on this page, or any request about your own data, goes to [email protected] and a real person answers.

If you register interest

The form on our register-interest page asks for your email address, and optionally your first name so we know how to greet you. You can also tick a box to say you want the opening menu first. That is everything we ask for, and we ask for it because you chose to tell us — our lawful basis is your consent.

We use it to write to you twice: once with the opening date, and once on the morning tables go live. If you ticked the menu box, we send you the menu as well. We do not use it for anything else, and there is no third thing we are quietly planning.

Every email we send has an unsubscribe link, and one tap is enough. You can also just write to us. Unsubscribing removes your address from our list — we do not keep a copy to make sure we do not email you again.

We keep your address until the restaurant has been open for six months, or until you unsubscribe, whichever comes first. After that we delete it. We do not sell it, rent it, trade it, or pass it to anyone who is not helping us send the emails.

How the site counts visits

We use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to see which pages get read and how quickly they load. Both are cookieless. They do not set a cookie, they do not follow you to other sites, and they do not build a profile of you. What we see is aggregate: page views, rough location by country, browser, and load times.

Our lawful basis here is legitimate interests — knowing whether the menu page works is how we make it better. Because nothing is stored on your device and nothing identifies you, this site does not need a cookie banner, and you will not get one.

Who else touches it

The site is hosted by Vercel, which processes requests on our behalf and is where the analytics above live. Our email runs on Microsoft 365. If you write to [email protected], your message sits in that mailbox. Some of these providers process data outside the UK, under the safeguards their contracts with us require.

What you can ask us for

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of what we hold on you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to stop using it, or ask for it in a form you can take elsewhere. Where we rely on your consent you can withdraw it at any time, and that does not make anything we did beforehand unlawful.

Ask at [email protected] and we will answer within one month. If you think we have handled your data badly, you are entitled to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We would rather you told us first, but that is your call, not ours.

Children

The register-interest form is not meant for anyone under 13. If a child has given us an address, write to us and we will delete it.

Changes

If this page changes we will change the date at the top of it. We are opening a restaurant, so it will change — when we pick the provider that sends the opening email, that provider gets named here before the first email goes out.
